It's been a whirlwind of activity here at our studio! Four of our pieces were chosen by LA Stylist Stephanie Gutierrez and photographer Annie Buado to co-star in a high fashion photo shoot for Jute Magazine. Jute celebrates finding your own style through the fun and art of mixing and matching fashions. The spread will explore the drama of "Movement" with gorgeous designer gowns and textural headpieces and accessories from The Feathered Head. And judging by these "Behind the Scene" photos, we know it's going to be a knock-out! Stay tuned for details on the finished product!

We just can't stop showing off our gorgeous clients! Here's Kandace stepping out with her restored vintage bright red Halston Derby-style hat with a giant curved pheasant feather. As Voguepedia pointed out, the name Halston evokes a highly decadent moment in our cultural history: the nightlife-as-performance days of Studio 54, electrified by 70's disco, drugs, and celebrity. But Halston was also synonymous with a quintessentially American kind of sporty, easy fashion that, as Vogue put it in 1980, was “unpretentious, unexcessive, with an instant attractiveness that answers the needs of all women who demand fashion that works.” Whatever he designed was executed with a chic simplicity. Kandace shows that off beautifully!
