Now here's a vintage beauty that has both a pedigree and a sense of humor! Zazie is a 1940s chocolate brown asymmetrical bucket hat from the renowned hat designer from the 40s/50s, Mr John. Mr John's clients included stars of film, stage, opera and the society pages such as the Duchess of Windsor, Gloria Swanson, Gloria Vanderbilt, Lauren Bacall, Joan Crawford and Rosalind Russell. His hats were even worn by Vivien Leigh in "Gone With the Wind," and Marilyn Monroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes"! He designed Zazie using Melusine, a super-soft felt made from fur with long, fine fibers. The fur was then brushed to create a silky long-haired finish. A 2" black "tail" at the end of gathered fabric can be worn in the back or on the side for 2 different whimsical yet chic looks.
